Student Affairs Committee (SAC)

The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) works for the overall well-being and holistic development of the students of the institute, aiming to foster responsible leadership and active participation in society. The student committees and clubs at SVIT are responsible for various activities. They operate under the guidance of faculty members but are primarily student-run. These committees undertake activities related to conferences, symposiums, college fests, placements, blogs, publications, social work, student welfare, and branding. By participating in such committees, students get opportunities to interact with alumni and industry experts.

Objectives

  • Support services to the student community.
  • Recognize students with different talents and provide them a platform to showcase their skills.
  • Foster teamwork to achieve shared goals.
  • Create a sense of belongingness among students.
  • Improve self-confidence and leadership skills.

  • Maintain discipline among students to uphold SVIT's image before its peer institutes.

Activities

Music, Indian folk dance, drama, skit, drawing and painting, poetry, mimicry, mono-acting, instrument playing, rangoli, kite festival, Ganesh Chaturthi, cultural events, annual day, traditional day, farewell day, blood donation camps, Swachh Bharat, Haritha Haram, NSS activities, all national events, all indoor and outdoor games, etc.


Placement Committee

The key objectives of this committee are to build, manage, and publish tech articles and ideas regularly on the SVIT LinkedIn page, increase corporate visibility of students and the institution, plan HR & TAG engagements quarterly, organise year-wise student data management, identify and forge channel/vendor partners, help build sustained collaborations and MoUs, showcase professional achievements of recent alumni, organise campus placement events, and assist students in achieving internships and certifications.


Higher Education Committee

This committee assists students with help desks on various higher education opportunities and alternative career paths, both in India and abroad. It focuses on establishing MoUs with reputed vendors/international universities, connecting with channel partners and vendors for periodic career help desks and test prep partners, and emphasising higher education opportunities overseas, domestically, and in government & public sector competitive test prep initiatives.


Alumni Relations Committee

The key focus areas of the Alumni Relations Committee are to create network building and annual alumni events, alumni scholarships & medals, alumni & institutional development, and corporate connect initiatives through alumni engagement on tech trends and future career choices. It also invites and introduces alumni to existing students to address them on specified areas of interest & topics.


Training and Value Added Program Committee

SVIT offers a wide variety of Training & Value Added Programs. The training committee is established to enhance the practical skills, employability, and overall development of students. The Value Added Program Committee focuses on enhancing students' skills and employability beyond the regular curriculum. It selects relevant programs, integrates them into the curriculum, collaborates with industry, monitors effectiveness, and continuously improves offerings to prepare students for successful careers.
